For starters, I ate lunch with Phill and David (Le) at Fukada.  I ordered Sansai Udon/Tendon combination which is always yummy~  Then we shopped at Irvine Spectrum!  I got an Eco bag, a plaid shirt, and a tank minidress from Forever 21. ♥  After David went to the ASC meeting, Phill and I went to IKEA because we both wanted couple of things from there.  I bought these cheap slippers for wearing at home which I’ve loved for years and years, although they changed the design a little bit (And the colors are more… bright).  I also purchased some magazine files for my abundant amount of Japanese magazines. ニャｄ(ｄﾟ∀｀=)♪ン  All in all, I bought a loooooooooooooooot of stuff today.

By about 5:30, I met up with David Nguyen and Le, Hien, and my brother to have dinner at Kouryuu as a commemorative dinner for David (Nguyen) being accepted and leaving for UCSD.  I hung out with these kids for the rest of the evening.

BY THE WAY I am freaking done with Finals as of last Friday!  I am soooooooo happy I don’t have to deal with papers, exams, and lack of sleep for a while, since I am taking the Spring quarter off and going to Summer school instead.  I don’t think being done with Finals has completely hit me yet, even though I’ve been on Spring Break already for 5 days.  And el boyfriend is coming to visit tomorrow, I’m so excited!!!  I haven’t seen him since Valentine’s weekend!!!!!!! (*≧∀≦)

Anyways, I’m tired and sleepy.

1. Cher Eco Bag. ♥  This comes in several different colors, but it seems very hard to come by in general.  It can be purchased on eBay, and I see a lot of the limited edition S/S ’09 color (Salmon).

2. Andy Warhol Tote Bag by Loop NYC.  This can also be purchased through eBay only.  There are lots of different designs, but I personally like the Purple Flowers (Black/White background with purple flowers) or the Spring Flowers (Khaki Green background with pale green flowers) designs.

3. Mini Coat Rack Jewelry Stand from Urban Outfitters.  It’s not that I have a ton of jewelry, but I keep them in different places and sometimes I don’t know where I put certain things… so I just want things to be organized.

4. Gift cards… from Forever21, IKEA, Urban Outfitters, Sephora.  Sorry, but… I don’t trust anybody’s taste (Unless you know me really well, like my mom or David)!!

5. Art books.  I actually have never gotten anything related to art in terms of gifts in the past for some reason (Maybe other people don’t realize my love of art?  I don’t know the reason, really) but I really would appreciate and love them.  Artists I like are Wayne Thiebaud, Andy Warhol, Alphonse Mucha, Henry de Toulouse-Lautrec, Gustav Klimt, Henri Matisse, etc. to name a few.  The publisher Taschen is really great for art books and a lot of them are quite cheap as well (I own an art book on Wassily Kandinsky from this publisher that only costed $20).

6. Take me out to lunch or dinner!  Buy me a birthday cake!!  Buy me chocolate!!!  Make me stuff!!!!  I love handmade or consumable gifts!!!!! (Now you can see that I’m really running out of ideas…)

Actually there are things I want a lot, for example a new wallet (Of course it has to be designer, I was thinking of Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, or Miu Miu), iPod nano, and Un Jardin Sur le Nil.  But given how expensive these things are, I completely don’t expect anyone to get these for me, unless you’re my baller mom of course.  And in regards to #5, I have gotten numerous gifts in the past that I never used and will never use (Stuff from Bath and Body Works, for example) which makes me feel bad that they are going to waste!  Anyway, if you get me anything to begin with, I will appreciate it greatly.

First, I got to see my old friend David (Nguyen) whom I haven’t seen in ages… which is like 3 years!  So we had lunch together, went to Mitsuwa and Kinokuniya, etc.  Most of all, we talked a lot and caught up with what’s been happening in our lives.  He’s going to start at UCSD at the end of this month, which is awesome!  Since San Diego is not too far, I hope to be able to visit him from time to time.

So since a lot of people haven’t seen my new hair due to my hermit-ness, here it is!

I actually got a lot of compliments regarding my hair.  From co-workers, family, friends, school people, yep.  I think it suits me well too.  I showed a picture of Izuoka Misaki (She’s at the bottom of this post) to my stylist.  It’s quite short but I like it a lot!

My purchases of the day include… mostly chocolate!  Everyone knows that I’m a chocoholic, it’s to be expected that I’m stocking up.  I also bought a new hair wax from Mitsuwa, which is Lucido-l’s ‘Smash Fixer’ variety.  It holds well and creates beautiful, bountiful volume which works perfectly with my new hair. ﾔﾀ───v(-∀-)v───♪  And lastly, I got volumes 2 and 3 of Honey Hunt (In Japanese) from Kinokuniya!  The manga is really good, it’s one of the very few I keep up.  あたし ドキドキするよ~

Izu (Izuoka Misaki)!!  I’ve been an avid reader of Popteen for quite some time now and she’s definitely my favorite model from this magazine (I also like Kanno Yui).  Compared to everyone else, her style is the best.  Her hair has grown out, but I used a picture of her from the September ’08 issue of Popteen when I got my haircut.  Anyways I really like her a lot and admire her style!

So yesterday was actually eventful, it was my brother James’s 26th (Wow, getting old there) birthday.  He celebrated his birthday in three different days with three different groups; one with his CSUF friends, the other with his high school friends, and the last with the family.  As a family, we usually celebrate his birthdays (Along with all of our birthdays actually) by going out to dinner.  But this year, James wanted a home-cooked meal from my mom.  And I bought a cute cake from Paris Baguette. I picked the cake myself too.

Mandoo juhngol.  It’s pretty much a spicy Korean hot pot with dumplings, beef, tofu, vegetables, different kinds of mushrooms, vermicelli noodles, etc.

Me and Ed’s birthdays are coming up soon as well!

I (literally) spent all morning making these!  They’re chocolate cupcakes and yellow cupcakes mix and matched with chocolate buttercream and vanilla buttercream frostings.  Making them was pretty fun even though it was a long and messy process… especially decorating them!  I hope he will be happy when he comes here and see what I made for him!  Speaking of which, he’s supposed to be here pretty soon.  I can’t wait to see him!  ﾙﾝ♪ (p･ｪ･)p ﾙﾝ♪

Anyways I’m so happy I’m done with midterms.  It’s almost unbelievable that Week 6 is already finished (There are 11 weeks minus the finals week in our quarter system).  Time really does fly.

I might update tomorrow!  We’ll see!  If I don’t, Happy Valentine’s Day, regardless of whether you’re single or not. ♥

A picture I took of a window at Kerkhoff Hall.  You can’t tell very well here, but it’s raining!!  At that moment, it was pouring, but not horribly hard.  When I was taking the van home though, it was pretty ridiculous.  The distance is about 40 miles, and it took us 2 and 1/2 hours to get back to Orange County from LA due to constant bumper-to-bumper traffic.  All that shows is time well wasted and me ending up to be grouchy and tired.

So I had my first midterm this morning with the wise professor’s class (Some background: Actually, I labeled my professors this quarter instead of calling them by their names… my European economic history professor is labeled “wise”, the African art professor is called “gay”, and my Egyptian art professor is “hot”.  The labels are completely literal and if you were to take all of these classes with me, you would totally understand what I’m talking about), which creamed up my right hand and almost made my head explode.  Other than the fact that I was panicking and frantically writing at full-speed for an entire hour, I think I did okay — I was able to answer all the questions and write complete short essays after all.  But what I’m worried about and what actually matters is the grading criteria, so we’ll see what happens.

I have more midterms early next week!  But after that, I will be able to see David and my friends.  That’s a good enough motivation to get through it for me!

So this Thursday and next Tuesday are all filled with midterms… so I have to spend the rest of this week and weekend studying.  Boo urns.  Speaking of school, I got my first paper back which was for my African art class.  I got an ‘A’!  I deserve a pat on the back.　ｲｲﾈ♪d(‘∀’ｏ)  Alright well, I better get started on rewriting/organizing my notes and such.  I’ll try to make a more interesting post next time.  Please wish me luck on my midterms!
